Freeze

This is one of those pictures that was never meant to happen; it just kind of grew a life of its own and took off. It started out as a muscle study, drawing a guy in a strange position. Then I was like "well, I've drawn all these nice muscles; I don't want to cover them up with clothes. Maybe I'll make it a superhero." Then I added lightning bolts to his head and he inevitably became the Flash. Then I drew smoke to balance out the composition. Then I added Captain Cold to even out the upper corner. Then I began coloring it. Then I went batshit crazy with brushes.

I love the Flash. He totally takes control of my art. I have no say whatsoever.
