Philmont Sketchdump by Deisi Philmont Sketchdump by Deisi
Guys, I went through my gallery the other day and realized... I really haven't submitted much worth looking at since my Philmont post last year.

Here's a compilation of my sketchbook from this past summer (yes, almost a year ago).

From top to bottom, left to right:

A chick with The Elephant, my zombie stick
Sandy Gray, from a song about a logger who dies trying to break a log jam
Coyote in crayon
Sepia-colored homesteading girl and cat
Colorful-haired earth girl
An aspen nymph (wasn't wild about this one in my sketchbook, but I'm kind of digging it colored)
Coyote song, in crayon again... I loved falling asleep listening to our resident coyote pack yipping and singing... what a chillingly joyful sound
Shadowy flower things?
A star engineer... didn't mean to make her as pin-up as she is, but my co-workers seemed to like it
Don Quixote
A fairy and her wings
Aaand, our Philfiesta celebration doodle... we threw a Viking Feast for our visitors

yeah, and what was funny, is that at the part where my friend had to "slap" me and Don Quixote, she accidently punched my nose and I fell! D:

Gosh, Philmont WAS almost a year ago. LAME.

However, these sketches inspire me! Your art and human forms are so fluid! yay!

I won't be going back, but I'll be interning in Great Smoky Mountains National Park, so that's exciting. Wedding planning is going, and going, and going! Things are sort of falling into place, which is good. The dress is progressing really nicely!
